Using proxies to generate UNIQUE VISITS

I run a column on the internet and we are pushed into search engines and paid by the visits to the page.  I've tried refreshing but that does not boost anything so there has to be another way.

How can I use a proxy to generate a simulation of real people from different IPs that stay on my news column and count as thousands of page views a day?  Is this possible, I tried everything  -

If you want the visitors to think your site have a great traffic, you can show a fake counter in your page, such as

Visitors Today 9999
Visitors Total  999999999999

I think, You can only generate a fake traffic using proxy.
