Using FreeCap through college network
« on: November 19, 2009, 07:16:05 PM »
Hello everyone,

I'm having a lot of issues with FreeCap. I have been trying to use FreeCap to get on Teamspeak RC2, however I haven't had any luck in doing so. I'm on a college network and just about every port is blocked except about 6 or 7. Any ideas how I can use this program to get through the schools network or how to use http tunnelling. Not sure what a lot of this is I've just been using google and downloading/installing all these programs like FreeCap and Socks Proxy Checker and haven't had any luck with figuring out how to get onto TS2. Thanks for your time.

First you can use Socks Proxy Checker to check the socks proxies and get some working ones:
http://www.socksproxychecker.com/help.html

Then you can try to use the working socks proxy in Sockscap:

Elite Proxy Switcher - Easily testing and using proxies.
Socks Proxy Checker - To be your chief socks proxy checker.
Buy Proxy - Buy checked proxies from My-Proxy easily and quickly.

I did all of that and I'm using the "Dirty Access Agent" bypass for Cisco Clean Access Agent.

You can try to use FreeCap launch IE for a test. If it can work, it's the problem of the proxy.
Maybe the TeamSpeak software requires the socks proxy supporting UDP feature such as this:

Code: [Select]
122.70.146.53:1080
Elite Proxy Switcher - Easily testing and using proxies.
Socks Proxy Checker - To be your chief socks proxy checker.
Buy Proxy - Buy checked proxies from My-Proxy easily and quickly.

I just tried that, no luck. It launches the program, but I get:

[23:12:54] Connecting to 64.34.161.70:8869
[23:13:00] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

The TS works and off the website you can see people are using it and are logged on. I think my college network is unbeatable  :-\
