Stolen computer
« on: August 31, 2013, 06:22:25 PM »
I'm not sure if I am in the right place or not here but....
August 3 our house was broken into and my laptop was stolen, among other things. Is there a way I can track my computer with its ip address? How can I find out what it is? I do not have that computer anymore of course but is there a way? An email I sent to someone from that computer or something? Is there a way they can check what it is by that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Also when I looked up the ip location of the laptop I have now the location is not correct. It says I live in Park Falls, WI and I do not. So even if I get the ip address from my stolen computer is the ip location I look up going to be correct? Am I just chasing a ghost?

You'd better ask police for help.
Elite Proxy Switcher - Easily testing and using proxies.
Socks Proxy Checker - To be your chief socks proxy checker.
Buy Proxy - Buy checked proxies from My-Proxy easily and quickly.

The short answer is no. An IP address will change by default because usually DHCP is enabled. Maybe next time, yu can install a tracker software on your laptop instead.
