proxy judges help
« on: April 04, 2008, 03:20:45 PM »
I've been using a combination of AD, Charon, proxy checker to check proxies.  Is there something screwed with AD cause it seems that is the only program where judges go bad uber frequently?
Any help with this would be appreciated

That doesn't answer his question Terry!

Yes, AD (AccessDiver) is not a very good proxy tester ... never has been, never will be.  However, I am unfamiliar with the word "uber" (?) and have no idea why proxyjudges would go bad when using AD.  What judges are you specifically speaking of?
I tell it like it is and that's offensive to those professing knowledge they don't have.

Uber is american urban slang...it means "extremely".
Here is the list of judges I have in AD:

When I run the "verify scripts" there are only a small handful that AD says are working and it's hardly ever the same one's 2 times in a row.   A few of those are ones I found after I posted the question (maybe 15 at the top) and those seem to stay ok more often.

anyway....
Perhaps I'm taking too much caution, but this is how I check proxies..I am new to proxies so I hope I'm not being too stupid....
I load them in AD, remove duplicates, remove dangerous.... load them in charon so it'll pull up the host name, delete all planet lab.....  load the ones left back into AD to check anon (seems to be faster than using charon), "delete everything non-operational and non-anonymous"...Load the ones left into proxy checker and remove transparent and timeouts...load the ones left after that into charon and do the same...cause each one seems to find ones that are non-anon that the other ones don't.

That's a lot now that I type it out...In short...AD, charon, AD, proxy checker, Charon.  Lately I've been skipping the AD scan cause of the proxy judge probs though.

Hope this makes sense..seems I did  a bit of rambling.

Using largely unknown slang, more punk than urban, and certainly not mainstream, in an English language forum where most members, guests and visitors have trouble with the most common of words is definitely not a good idea if you wish to be understood and not considered ignorant.

The following judges in your list are no good and should be deleted:

Code: [Select]

To comment further on your methods for testing proxies would be at best a total waste of time.  Actually, I assume you are trying very hard to be comical, because to consider what you do seriously is beyond comprehension.

You can obtain an up-to-date Planetlab/CoDeen list and instructions on how to use it in either Charon, AATools and HellLab's ProxyChecker at:
Code: [Select]
http://www.dcsproxy.com/proxy-tools/2294-planetlab-codeen-filter-exclusion-list.htmland a current proxyjudge list at:
Code: [Select]
http://www.dcsproxy.com/proxy-tools/1700-proxy-judges.html

I tell it like it is and that's offensive to those professing knowledge they don't have.

Thank you very much for your help..sadly, I wasn't being comical.  I think I was getting mixed up because all I could find was outdated "tutorials" that weren't even complete.  Your wisdom is greatly appreciated.
