Title: Windows XP Connection Limit Patch
Post by: Terry on July 10, 2007, 10:09:00 PM
If you get few working proxy or it takes too long to test the proxies, you should use this patch. Moreover after installing the patch you can set the Max Thread from the default 8 to 24 which can boost the testing speed by 3 times.

For Windows 7 and Vista SP2
Microsoft removed the connection limit in Windows 7 and Vista SP2, you do not need this patch any more.

For Windows XP Users, Windows only allows 10 simultaneous connections in order to improve the security, but an immediate downside is the fact that it impacts the multi-thread Internet programs such as Elite Proxy Switcher (http://www.eliteproxyswitcher.com), Socks Proxy Checker (http://www.socksproxychecker.com) and Forum Proxy Leecher (http://www.fourmproxyleecher.com). You can use this patch to fix it.

Download TCP-Z here:
http://download.my-proxy.com/TCP-Z.zip

How to use TCP-Z:

Open TCP-Z (tcpz.exe) -> Click the tab Patch -> Patch Memory -> Set the New Value to 100 -> Apply -> Keep TCP-Z running. You need to use TCP-Z every time before testing the proxies.

I downloaded patch for windows XP. My anti-virus says its a Trojan and won't let it execute.

This patch will modify the system file so some anti-virus program may regard it as a virus.
You can close your anti-virus and open it again after installing the patch.

Then please use the method for Windows Vista and Win7:
Open TCP-Z -> Click the tab Patch -> Patch Memory -> Set the New Value to 100 -> Apply -> Done. You need to use TCP-Z every time before testing the proxies.

You need to keep TCP-Z running when you test the proxies. I just tested the list and there are 52 working proxies in the L1 list.
