Title: Please enable forum notifications
Post by: nimd4 on August 17, 2012, 06:15:07 PM
Hi,

Forum notifications seem to be disabled, unlike the topic notifications. I was unable to follow the My-Proxy News (http://forum.my-proxy.com/myproxy-news/) forum through the board's email system.

As far as I can see in this SMF Demo (http://www.opensourcecms.com/scripts/details.php?scriptid=126&name=SMF), the forum notifications are enabled by modifying group profiles; by going to: Members, Permissions, Edit Profiles; Request notifications, Request notification on new topics (Notification on new topics is a feature that allows a user to receive an email every time a new topic is created on the board they subscribe to.)

P.S.
There will be a 'NOTIFY' button, screenshot:

That feature will increase the load of our server so we disable it. You can follow us to know the news.

Looks fair enough. But is there a workaround here so we would know right away if someone replies to our posts?
