Title: An evaluation
Post by: katmando on March 08, 2007, 03:05:24 AM

Me thinks you better check out the reliability of the judge included with this trial version as it gives tons of very bad results, and the program itself is also flawed.

For example, of the proxies included with this trial version, those listed below were reported by your program as anonymous.  However, only one proxy (see *** in the list) actually was anonymous at the time of my test, and the only other proxies (4) even working in this list were transparent (see * in the list) ... hardly the desired result.   All the rest were non-operational.

The judge used in your program is:
Code: [Select]        ***        *       *      *         *

By the way, testing the above proxies in your program using a reliable judge
Code: [Select]

the following proxies were reported as being anonymous:

However, only actually was anonymous when tested in Charon and AATools as well as in my browser against

Code: [Select]

as the rest are transparent (spill your real IP Address).  So, the testing flaw must also be within your program as well as the bad judge.

The demo proxies in the installation pack are very old now.
Here is the result after retesting them:

Code: [Select]
Checked by Elite Proxy Switcher
2007-03-08 8:50:34

[High Anonymous / Level1 Proxies (0)]

[Anonymous / Level2 Proxies (0)]

[Transparent / Level3 Proxies (6)]

Tested against both:

Code: [Select]

Maybe you regarded Level3 proxies as anonymous proxies. They are actually transparent.

Ah, again with all the unique "bs" about levels.  A transparent proxy, by any acceptable standard, doesn't have a level Terry ... how many times do you have to be told this.

Oh, by the way, proxy is still anonymous and again points out that this program's ability to test proxies is flawed.

1) was timeout when I tested it.

2) About the levels
Elite Proxy Switcher classifies the proxies into three levels according to My-Proxy HTTP Proxy Classification Spec:

* High Anonymous Proxy (Level 1): The web server can't detect whether you are using a proxy by the information your browser sent.
 * Anonymous Proxy (Level 2): The web server knows that you are probably using a proxy, but it can't detect your real IP.
 * Transparent Proxy (Level 3): The web server knows that you are using a proxy and it can also detect your real IP address.

Heh heh, apparently I wasn't the only one to make comments about the board or programs it endorses before fully checking things out.

You missed the point, but typical of someone on a personal vendetta.

What point did I miss?  The point I saw was that you made a mistake on a presumption you made before fully exploring the facts, same as I did.  I found that to be ironic, simple as that.  And yeah, I guess I was looking for revenge but you seem to have a vendetta on humanity judging by how quick you are to get nasty with EVERYONE.  As far as I'm concerned this can end because several days have passed and I'm not really pissed anymore.  But it would be nice if you'd chill out and have a little more patience with people.

The community (defined as such for means of discussion) has always rated (given a level of anonymity through a rating system of levels or points or at least made the distinction between anonymous and transparent).

So, along comes a newcomer on the block who makes the asinine decision to give transparent proxies a level 3 rating.  We already have a level 3 rating and they are anonymous proxies.  This is totally confusing!

People who have used or will use other proxy analyzing software (past, present and future) will consider any proxy given a level rating or points rating to be good or bad depending upon which software they learn to use first.

By the way, I could care less how long this continues or whether you are pissed at me or not.  You came on here drunk and made a fool of yourself by posting incorrect information.  I do not like people who do that, people who profess intelligence and knowledge the do not have.  I was reasonably nice in my first post regarding your garbage statements, but when you wanted to challenge me on these things my tone gets a bit nastier.  Don't like it, don't post things that are incorrect, don't post things when you're drunk, and don't post things when you aren't using your brain at the time.  :)))

Now, lets look all this another way.  Had I not stomped on you a bit, you wouldn't have found it necessary to prove yourself to everyone here by posting some very worthwhile and helpful information. I see you have done plenty of this and it pleases me.

Yeah, yeah.  You need a hug or something.  Are you EVER in a good mood?

I don't recall professing intelligence.  I certainly haven't started any of my posts by saying, "First of all, I am very intelligent."

It's impossible for me to not post things while being drunk because I am almost all of the time.:)  But I'm more wasted sometimes than other times.
