EPS & Download Programs?

Hey, I'm new to the whole proxy thing and EPS is working okay for me so far (I use Firefox, BTW).

I was wondering, does EPS effect how download programs like Orbit Downloader works automatically? If not, is there any way I can work the two, or would I have to manually input a proxy into Orbit?

If Orbit uses the proxy settings of IE, EPS can change its proxy. Otherwise you have to input the proxy into Orbit manually.

Actually, another question: does Internet Explorer need to be open for that method to work? Like I said, I use Firefox and usually I only open IE for updates.
