Deleting footprints when creating accounts
« on: April 10, 2008, 03:25:36 AM »
Hello,

I want to create different accounts in different sites, and to post.

My question is how can I delete footprints 100%.

Here is what I do:
I use proxy for different projects
When I start firefox I click on "tools", "clear private data", and I delete everything.

Is it enough, and if not what else can I do?

Thank you in advance.

It's enough. Please make sure you checked "Cookies" when use the "Clear Private Data" function.

Thank you Terry,

I delete all of my private data.

Is it necessary, or you suggest me to delete only cookies?

And can I be 100% sure with that?

And also I use firefox, so do I have to delete cookist from IE?

And I have 3 accounts on my pc (I'm on win xp), so if on the other account there are cookies, am I OK?

"Cookies" is the most important and not checked by default, so I mentioned it.
Of course other things are important too.

If you want to surf anonymously by IE, you should delete the cookie of IE too.

Delete the cookie of the account in which you want privacy and anonymity.

Browser plugins such as Java, Flash, ActiveX, RealPlayer, Quicktime, Adobe's PDF plugin, and others can be manipulated into revealing your IP address.  Even having your email address in Outlook Express could possibly be viewed.

You should probably uninstall your plugins (if using Firefox, go to "about:plugins" to see what is installed), and investigate QuickJava, FlashBlock, and NoScript if you have them and determine if you really need them.

Consider removing extensions that look up more information about the websites you type in (like Google toolbar), as they may broadcast sensitive information.

If you don't know what Google Toolbar is, the type "google toolbar" in Google's search engine, hit your "enter" key on your keyboard and start reading.
