A number of grey timeout proxies with all L3 classification
« on: March 20, 2007, 11:35:25 PM »
I have evaluated this program with L1 & L2 proxies  obtained from FPL plus  forum L1&L2 proxies, verified with  Proxy checker Pro  and charon 0.6 counter-checked with EPS, I notice a number of grey timeout proxies with all L3 classification. The possible timeout could the timeout setting duration is set to short to enable the proxies to response.

Another flaw is the proxy switching fails. A set active proxy is checked and indicated but it still reveal my true IP address verify by

Code: [Select]
www.whatismyip.com

and forum proxy leecher.

Which of the programs present a more accurate proxy classification? FPL or EPS?
This is a bug that needs your attention.

Hi gargamei,

1) about a number of grey timeout proxies with all L3 classification
Thanks for the report. Could you tell me whether you can use those proxies surfing?

2) about proxy switching
Thanks for the report. Could you tell me which browser you are using?

3) more accurate proxy classification?
FPL and EPS use the same technique to classify the proxies.
Elite Proxy Switcher - Easily testing and using proxies.
Socks Proxy Checker - To be your chief socks proxy checker.
Buy Proxy - Buy checked proxies from My-Proxy easily and quickly.

I uses Firefox as the default browser. I do uses these proxies to conceal my IP as an alternative route to rapidshare. Since both use the same technique to classify the proxies, why is there a difference when it counter-checked by EPS proxy. It should classify accordingly to FPL level since it is the origin source.

1) You can try EPS 1.01B which is just released.
It fixed the problem that proxy switching may fail if you open too many Firefox windows.

2) EPS and FPL should give you the same result about the proxy levels.
If not, maybe the proxy administrator changed the setting about the anonymity.
